Didn't paint it at all... I color matched it with some 3M 1080 Vinyl Wrap... A lot of people like paint and I use too but vinyl allows me to favor keeping my whip cause I can easily switch it up later and for less loot...

I tried vinyl when I wrapped all my other interior pieces but after 3 attempts at cutting it precisely I gave up. No matter how I trimmed it there would be a little spot of gold poking out and it drove me nuts. Maybe I'll give it another try first. Otherwise I'm just gonna paint the damn thing. lol

Lol... The key is to use a fairly new razor for the straight end and hug the borders...

I'm with you their bud I couldn't keep the bubbles away

 

I used plasti dip after I ran out of wrap

 

I wish I was better at vinyl, like so many people on this site.
