OK, it finally stopped raining long enough to clean the grey ghost up and snap some pics. I finally found out how to put them somewhere to link to - Thanks for the help! Those of you who have asked me for pics of the ram air mod and the painted bowtie please check it out!

How much extra Horsepower did the ram air give you? I've been thinking about doing that with my truck but wasn't sure if It added alot.

Does it add top end or low end torque?

cowboy- I felt SOTP gains, according to my butt dyno, in low end and top end. It really made quite a diff on the low end. You can esp notice it when you are going about 30 mph or greater and have the sudden urge to put the pedal to the floor!

I don't know how much hp it added but it really improved throttle response- my truck is not gasping for air anymore. I don't think you even need the ram air you could just run the tube from the bottom of the air box to about 10 - 12 in down if you wanted to- just to allow more cool air into the airbox.

Butt dyno results:

horsepower= yup+

torque= yup+

throttle response= h*ll yea!

All in all I'd say it's a good mod- I'm happy w/ mine. just my .02 - hope it helps.

lrymal - the MAF is between the lid and the tube inside of the rubber gasket that connects the 2 pieces. It's kinda hard to see but it's there. I think the square piece you are referring to is the square section on the MAF where the electrical connector is. When I installed the UPD (NSV) the directions said to rotate it 45 degrees toward the cab (firewall) so it would not stick up too far and clear the hood. It's a lot higher/bigger than the stock intake.
