Coilover + uca vs coilover lift

Are you on stock rims? I am contemplating fox 2.0 and have the steel uca. Didn't know if I needed to upgrade both to keep the angles in check. Also what size tires you running with 2.15 up front.

yea i still have the stock rims and the duratracs that came stock on there. i can deffinetly fit 33s with ease

The angels are good. No issues. I had the Rancho Quicklifts and I wasn't impressed with the ride quality. The Kings are 2.5. I paid $1400 for the the Kings and $514 for the Cognitos.

ahhh right you are. my mistake.

 

with a mediocre lift/level is the extra $300 worth going to uniball? Replacement costs I would assume are near the same, and replacement time as well.

I believe that was only a problem with the fox 2.0s, not the 2.5s.

So fox failed to limit uptravel properly on their 2.0 line, sure it's possible. I'd like to see someone cycle kings with cognito uppers.

First I've heard of the requirement to trim near the UCA double shear mount.

 

I know you need to cut out the bump stop.

 

And tuff country...ehh I'll pass.

The service perch is the mandatory modification. The bump stop removal is optional and will require strapping the arms if you want your coils to last more than a few trips down a rough road

Not true.

 

OEM spec coil overs have internal limiters to match down travel to arm limits. This is also what makes the difference with extended travel versions of OEM replacements, they have smaller spacers allowing full travel of uniball style arms that allow more travel than balljoints.
