Coilover + uca vs coilover lift

Anyone here running a set of coilovers up front with a new upper control arm? Contemplating upgrading my truck to gain ride quality on rough roads but I'm torn between just upgrading the shocks and control arm vs doing a full Bds coilover lift. The extra height isn't that big of a selling point to me, however the suspension angles are important. Is it worth shelling out the ~1000-1500 to have the differential dropped? Or would the new control arms be enough to compensate for the leveled ride up front.

I would recommend the a coilover UCA combo. I did King's with Cognito UCA's. Ride is outstanding. I spent a little more $ than I wanted to for the parts but I plan on keeping this truck for a while. I didn't want it really high, just level.

But I think I would need aftermarket wheels if I went w/ new Coilovers/Cognito UCAs due to the OEM backspacing.

I'm planning on new wheels for sure and running 35's would be ideal but I could be content with 33's-34's on just coilovers or coilovers plus the body lift.

 

So many decisions.

The angels are good. No issues. I had the Rancho Quicklifts and I wasn't impressed with the ride quality. The Kings are 2.5. I paid $1400 for the the Kings and $514 for the Cognitos.

Does it sit higher in the front than stock? You do anything to the rear end?

It sits about dead level or maybe slightly lower in the front. Nothing done to the back yet. Saving up for the matching King rears.

3.0s usually have finned reservoirs, fyi.

I've only taken in the dirt a couple times now and it rides great.

i used the fox 2.0 coilovers without the uca arm for now. it lifted the front 2.15 inches. i could prob use the uca but i will do it after the salty winter months. As for the ride i couldn't stand the 2 inch spacer with my ranchos i had to get rid of it. the fox works so much better. you still feel the bumps but they are absorbed not bounced over. its night and day.
