Splash guards

So I bought a set of weather tech splash guards last year for my 2015 sierra. The thing is I really like the looks of it without them. I'm thinking of taking them off after winter as I know they help with snow and slush. My question is...do the plastic pieces around the wheel well keep the paint from chipping? Or you think I should just leave them on? I guess I don't know if I should just leave them?

I would say if you're worried about paint chips, leave them on; especially if you have aggressive tread tires. But even with my stock Goodyear eagle ls2 tires I pick up lots of small rocks and can hear them hit the plastic mud guards, even still though some get bye and I can hear them hit the metal step rails. But some pertection is better than none.

+1 Even if you don't like the looks of the mudguards, they'll look 1000% better than paint chips. JMHO

I agree with the above comments. At the very least, I'd leave those plastic pieces on. One reason I got mud flaps is I didn't really want to pepper my new Borla exhaust tips with rocks.

The mud flaps are totally worth it. In addition to blocking rock chips, the front ones are really good about keeping debris and mud off the running boards, which means they help keep it off my mats and carpet.
