bug deflector vs clear bra?

I evidently bent the right edge of my bug deflector. While it still works, I'm curious as to how well a clear bra would work vs a bug deflector. I know th bug deflector causes water spots on my hood because it diverts the wind, so that annoys me.

I am looking at bug deflector or rock deflector as I like to call it in AZ! I probably should have both because in another 1yr or so I will have the most chewed up front end on the road.....Oh well.....

Check out the avs aeroskin. I have it in my truck and love it. Low profile and it adds the protection from rocks.

cbrsilv15: How is the protection vs a bug deflector? And mook: I do enjoy the traditional look of a regular bug deflector, but the water spots are now beginning to drive me crazy. Never noticed them when I had my Autumn Bronze Metallic Silverado

I always had a bug deflector. This time went with the clear bra. Much happier as my windshield washer sprays as designed and looks much better. I will do this again.

That's what I have. Although after two years, it's cracked. Still keeping it on until I get another one.

It's pretty much the same coverage, just less visible and a lower profile. I already had some chips on my hood on the lip and after I installed this, I haven't seen any new ones.

I am putting it all into perspective.....I don't like the tape idea and not sure if clear bra is what I want either? I have to get the rocks deflecting at different angle than just straight on to the windshield. The rake of windshield is not much because it's a truck and AZ will have you putting in 3 Windshields a year!!! Just today I probably had 3-4 impacts from stones that I could hear........
