Zasker1 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 By chance is there a GM technician within the state of Texas that would be willing to reprogram my radio and set the chime volume to 0 or disabled if yes please PM me.

However, we found out that iDataLink is releasing a product that will reroute the time to an a separate speaker we can mount anywhere so I would assume you could leave it unplugged and then wouldn't have to worry about chimes. Zasker1 Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Do you have a link that describes this new product I have spent a few hours on the idatalink website and the 12vdata forms and you not see a product that wouldn't allow for the bypassing of the Chimes while retaining the factory deck the closest is the GM 5 which would allow me to manipulate chimes but requires an aftermarket deck
sk Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I gave up on trying to get the chimes disabled. Just go to http://www.seatbeltextenderpros.com/gmc-sierra-seat-belt-extender/ and buy the 3" rigid extender that matches your interior color. Costs $20 shipped and you don't need to hear the seatbelt chime ever again.
OZme Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Anyone find a solution to the horrible LOUD seat belt chimes ? I would settle for a volume reduction. Have heard dealer can lower volume
OZme Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 So where are the GM Techs supposed to be or do any read this ? Anyone find a solution to the horrible LOUD seat belt chimes ? I would settle for a volume reduction. Have heard dealer can lower volume
JD110 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Hello, the chime is programed in the radio. I have reprogramed radios for a lower audible tone. Dealer can do it if a new calibration is available.
