Hello,

I am a newbie on this forum, but i figured i would reach out and see what people have to offer. i drive a 2015 gmc sierra. I upgraded my non bose sound system with a massive audio dsp. it works well but i hate always having to turn on the computer to make changes to the dsp. I would like to put an on board computer in my truck and use the factory 8 inch screen as my monitor. I am think that the backup camera uses a NTSC video in put. Is it possible to tape into this input and use it as my monitor. is there wiring diagrams out there so i can see what wires I need to tap into?

Thanks

You can tap into the feed rather simply. MVI can sell you a simple harness. Here's your issue. Unless you have their HMI Unlock you will only be able to access the feed when you put the vehicle in reverse and you will need some type of switch to alternate video sources. You could also go with their AV module which will give you HDMI an RCA inputs. It wouldn't require an unlocked HMI. Probably the better way to go if you are willing to spend the money.
