Anyone have any hands on experience with programmers and tuners? I've got the 5.3 and looking for a bit more drivability and mpg. What would you guys recommend? I'm looking at the Bully dog BDX, Bully Dog Gt, Diablo Trinity, and Diablo I2 intune..

Check out Black Bear Performance. Much better than any off the shelf programmer you would find.

was looking at the itune or t100, i dont need anything hardcore or super pricey. i only plan on adding like cai, exhaust and possibly headers way down the line.... have a 4.3L. Currently shopping around for tuner as well.

I have an inTune i2, love it for what I paid for it ($320 to my door). Don't get bully dog, I believe that's what trashed my 4 transmissions in 40k miles on my last truck

I say look for a tuner seller that also does custom tunes. Or look for a shop or business that does custom tuning and get the tuner from them, with a tune included for free or at a reduced price.

Would definitely give Black Bear a shot. Greatly improved drivability, cant speak much for MPG.

Where did you get it from to get it $320 to your door? Thanks for the input. I don't mind a whole lot about miles per gallon I just want to fix the throttle response and give it a little more juice

Got it from a fellow member on here. Check the for sale section they are usually always Diablosport tuners on there

Does anybody know: If I load back up the standard TCM tune tune does the transmission go back into learning mode?
