3 codes simultaneously (C0035,C0040,C0245)

OK, I've been searching the forum for fixes to these codes...so far what i gather is C0035 & C0040 pertain to the left and right front speed sensors and some people suggest cleaning the contact surface or replacing the entire hub assembly. I've replaced both hub assemblies in the past 60k Miles.

And from what I've read C0245 has to do with an internal fault of the EBCM mounted to the frame under the driver seat location and people suggest checking/cleaning the grounds.

I suppose what my question is here has anyone ever had all three codes come up at the same time? I'm really having a hard time believing three things all just happened to malfunction at the same time. I'm wondering if it could potentially just be a bad EBCM causing the other 2 codes to come up also?

2006 silverado z71 extended cab.

the only recent work to the truck was all new pads, shoes, rotors and drums about 6 months ago and front diff and transfer case fluid within the past 2 months.

If anyone has experience with this situation that could guide me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

These 3 codes are often set together if you have very low tire pressure in one of the 2 front tires.

C0035 LF Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit EBCM
C0040 RF Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit EBCM

DTC C0245: Wheel Speed Sensor Frequency Error
Wheel Speed Sensor Frequency Error
Circuit/System Description
The wheel speed sensor receives a 12-volt power supply voltage from the electronic brake control module (EBCM) and provides an output signal to the EBCM. As the wheel spins, the wheel speed sensor sends the EBCM a DC square wave signal. The EBCM uses the frequency of the square wave signal to calculate the wheel speed.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
Wheel speed differences between one wheel and the others is greater than 25 percent.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• Antilock brake system (ABS), traction control system (TCS) and vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) are disabled for the remainder of the ignition cycle.
• The ABS and Stabilitrak indicator turns ON.
• The service Traction Control and Stabilitrak displays on the DIC.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
• The DTC becomes history when the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present.
• The history DTC clears after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles.
• The EBCM receives a clear code command from the scan tool.
Diagnostic Aids
• Faulty wheel speed sensor will not set this DTC.
• A vehicle using a space saver spare will not set this code.
Inspect for one tire that has improper air pressure or improper size.

Checked, all the tires are fine as far as pressure goes.

Could a bad/failing bearing in the front differential cause any of this? I need to replace the oil seal and carrier bearing on the driverside output shaft on the front diff. Just been waiting for some warmer weather.

Or could this simply be a bad EBCM? Just think its weird to have all 3 codes at the same time.

If you had a bad bearing you would only get the code for that bearing not all 3. Like you're saying you may have an ECBM on the way out....

Fretting corrosion has been a GM issue in module connectors. Went through that on my '09 Malibu. It had wacky brake lights and Service Traction, ABS warnings being displayed. That car had a recall for the body module connector corrosion issues.

Disconnect battery, plug and unplug the module connectors. I spray mine with a electronic connector cleaner / lubricant when these issue pop up.

Malibu codes started coming and going until they no longer reset on restarts.

Clean the connectors before you buy a module.

On the Malibu and G6 all the recall did was to add a wedge behind the BCM so that it would be angled in such a way that moisture would run away from the lower set of contacts. It partially worked if the car was caught soon enough but for those vehicles that moisture runoff had already gotten to the contacts eventually would still fail because during the recall the technician to save time skip the cleaning and dielectric grease process, hence still producing failures down the road. The recall allowed something like 15 minutes which was not enough and techs skipped phases to meet the time limit. My wife's G6 had the recall and I know the connectors weren't removed and cleaned because they still had the black zip ties on the when I took it apart. These have to be cut to remove the connectors because they hold the blue disconnect levers in place.
