Hi all,

Have lurked here for several months when researching before buying and reading afterwards, but never posted so thought I'd put up an intro.

Sold my 2009 Tundra SR5 double cab 5.7 for the GMC for the added towing capacity back in November. I haul a 22 ft enclosed trailer with my wife's racecar in it and the combination of increasing weight (more fuel, additional sets of tires, more spares, etc) and distances to tow (Charlotte to Watkins Glen in NY or COTA in TX) had me switch to the diesel.

The GMC is a 2016 Denali Duramax 2500HD black/black, crew cab, 4x4, standard bed. Towing mirrors, sunroof, Z71, roof markers, high idle. Have put a bed cover and box on, and swapped out the tiny OEM all weather mats and installed an OEM underseat storage under the rear seat.

First 4x4 I've owned and don't get all that much snow here in Charlotte but had 1 day with a little on the roads I switched on for a bit just to make sure it worked :) Other vehicles are Lexus LS, wife's racecar is a BMW M3, trailer is a Continental Cargo V-nose. May eventually haul our boat (24 Sea Ray Sundeck) but it's a one-lake boat right now - no trailer for it.
