i got a 1992 Chevrolet c1500, stepside, with the 5.7. im ready for more. Im going to put a newer GMC Yukon 6.2 into it, and my closest LKQ has one ready to pull. Im going to put the new transmission, as well as the wiring harness, computer, etc. Basically the whole system. The only thing I don't understand how to work out is lights, instrument cluster, etc. wouldn't the old light wiring be different than the new wiring harness going in? How do I make the old gauge cluster work with the new wiring harness? How do I make the old turn signals, radio wiring, light switches, all of that good stuff, how do I make it work with the new stuff, more importantly, heat and A/C??? I need help with this sort of stuff because ive never had to deal with it, and its also going to be my daily driver. Any ideas?

I haven't done this for a long time, try painless wireing website. There are some plug and play options out there.
