Hill start assist and warranty with 2.5 front level

Wondering how a 2.5 front only level kit will effect my hill start assist and warranty, I live in Canada if that makes a difference, 2016 1500 lt z71

I add the 2.5 rc level kit, and the hill start assist still work in my driveway every day. My driveway has a slant but not steep

I have a 2" level and no issues with Hill Assist... Oh, wait, you live in Canada? You might have an issue then.

 

Just kidding; I'm also from Canada Shouldn't have an issue though.

Sir I installed a Ready Lift 2.5" leveling kit and also have no issues with Hill Assist. I talked to my dealer before installing the kit and they said I would have no issues with the warranty. I don't know if this matters but I live in Maine, USA. I would hope the warranty would be about the same. May want to have a chat with the dealer first.

I am very happy I installed this kit.

Doubt the HSA will have any issues. As far as warranty only when is impacted by the level and bigger tires. If you install big heavy and wide 35s I doubt they will cover say if a wheel bearing fails or a big level like that most likely ball joints and control arm warranties won't be accepted. GM is well aware and ask for pictures prior to approving any warranty claims, if a level directly impacts it they won't pay for it. With that if your seat has issues a level won't change that warranty...

Wait, they have HSA on automatics? I have it on my 6sp manual Camaro but what is the point on an automatic? Not that I need it and need to get it tuned out. It is more of a pain than anything.

Automatics will roll back but nothing like a manual. How is HSA a pain? I know many rely on e-brakes when starting a manual on a hill which wasn't the way I learned! HSA should help to make a manual transmission less intimidating for new drivers.

I guess since I learned on a manual and know how to operate it then HSA was an issue. I try to take off to fast while HSA is active and so I kill the engine. Now that I have "learned" how to drive with HSA it isn't an issue. But for those of us that already know how to drive a manual it was a pain at first.

I discovered something about hill assist today that doesn't deal with op's concern but I thought may be new information to others. I thought hill assist was intended to prevent a driver from rolling back when starting on a hill. Today I discovered that it works facing downhill! I never found staring from a downhill facing position a problem! I imagine it could be useful when backing up a hill from a tight parking position.
