dealer service work

are the dealers supposed to service your vehicle before you pick it up? I just crawled under my 2017 2500 hd and looked at all the steering joints. none of them had ever been greased. is that normal? another thing I noticed was that the spare tire is a different brand than what is on the truck. the truck came with Michelins and the spare is a goodyear. is that normal?

The spare being different is normal. As for the greasing, I'd have a chat with your servicing dealer. They should be greasing them.

Maybe they grease and wipe off, you don't need to grease till it squeezes out. My old street rods I would wipe off and cap the cert.

I just had my first service and my grease zerks were untouched also. The "chassis lubrication" box was left unchecked on the multi-point list. I crawled under and did it myself (I think I missed one of nine), but I'll be inquiring about this at my next service so hopefully the dealer can do it.

Most dealers clean and put them on the lot.

IMO

Maybe I'm wrong but I think in todays world you have to check on every service you pay for. They will cut corners at every chance if allowed. The main reason I do all my own maintenance/repairs on everything we own. CYA every DAY. SAD. :happysad:
