Did you specify in your order to them that you wanted the upgraded hoses or fittings?

No and neither did the other member.

When I ordered mine, I ordered the standard hoses. And thats what I got. I realized that they weren't what I wanted so instead of crying about about it, I did something about it and purchased different hoses from JEGs to fit my needs.

So..... you got what you ordered. Standard hoses. If you want thicker hoses, then order them and quit complaining about Elite sending you the wrong ones.

Edit: I also left a link what type of hose to use in another post. Here it is again.

Was the CSS decided upon based on your research? I'm sold on the e2x but not yet convinced on the additional apparatus. It seems to be more for forced induction and/or "sporty" type vehicles that are driven harder than a truck typically is. I have no problem paying for it if it is useful or a good idea. What I detect here, however, is folks getting the CSS just because it came with the kit. Maybe they didn't know the e2x can be had without?

I honestly didnt even realize it came with the CSS until i recieved it. I did install it but its essentially pointless in my case as I never go WOT. It's on though "just in case".

Would you have purchased (extra $100) had you known?

Probably not, unless somebody could convince me it was worth it.

Thanks!.

I have it my head that single out e2x without css is the way to go. If anyone sees a flaw in my logic please weigh in.

If someone wanted to go whole hog, so to speak, css to one side of the airbox (I don't intend to install any tube) and second exit port to the other side would be the way.

Thanks to all for posting.

Next step would be getting proper hose for the project. The vendor apparently can not be relied upon to supply same.
