TheMekanik Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Trying to install a 1" diff drop kit in a 16 sierra all terrain. Looks like the diff is going to contact the electric steering motor if I bring it down any. (I know I will have to either notch the crossmeber or shave the diff down) Anyone run into this? Running a combo of bilsteins and 2" spacer for 3" total in the front. THANK YOU

TheMekanik Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 It was close, but it fit. I dimpled the crossneber and shaved the ear on the diff.

My diff is knocking into the crossmember making it feel like I have a blown strut. Will be taking a sledgehammer to it next weekend. If that doesn't work then I'm stuck cutting a hole in it like the rough country kit. At that point I might have some extra metal welded in to reinforce the crossmember. TheMekanik Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Got a picture of the power steering contact your talking about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'll get one. There's about 3/16-1/4" of gap between the steering motor and the extension on the diff. Just enough room to push the connectors back in place Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is there any way you can take a picture of the area where you installed the diff drop spacers? Thanks
