Weathertech mats

Since you replaced your all weather mats with your Weathertech mats would you happen to have the OEM mats collecting dust in your garage? I wouldn't mind taking them off your hands lol

This may sound crazy but I'm using the OEM ones on top of my Weather Tech, I do a lot of trail running and it's way easier to grab the mat and spray it off vs fighting to get the WT out of the truck. With this setup I never remove the WT.

I've had WT in another vehicle and even now have the WT in-channel window guards.

 

I have the Husky x-act in this truck and love the way they fit and how secure they are under foot.

 

I've been of the (amateur, not counting my MBA) opinion that WT spends disproportionately on promotion/advertising and not nearly enough on product quality. And product was what got them in the game initially.

Well I made up my mind and the weathertech mats were ordered this morning. I will be sure to give everyone an update on the fit and finish of the product when they arrive.

Hey everyone I recieved the mats on Friday and got them installed yesterday. As far as fit goes they match to the contour of the truck perfectly. As far as finish goes they look great but the front driver mat has a scratch in top left corner but you can't even see it when it's in the truck so I'm ok with that. They aren't as thick as the gmc mats but they provide more coverage so that's a plus. I will post some pictures soon.

Did you get the full mat in 2nd row or the half mat?

 

If you got the half mat in 2nd row can you provide pics of the fit near the factory storage box?

you see the top left corner of your mats how it's a little bit off of the interior frame of the door? yeah that's the beginning of what happened to both of my sets. It ended up getting super warped it really sucks and there isn't much you can do. Perhaps it depends on the climate you live in. I even tried putting them out in the sun and then reforming them a bit to fix but it was too late.

 

 

I'm happy with the rubber type of weathertechs I have for now but they don't have as much coverage, next time I'll go with the Husky's for sure.

In my last 4 vehicles I've had, I've always went with WeatherTech. This time around it might be different, if they're actually cheaper I just might go with the Huskys'. My only concern with the softer rubber, wouldn't cleaning them be more harder? Lint, dirt, etc will stick to em?
