Funny how stupid some parents can be... First off buying their Jackass kid a car that was obviously too much to handle, And then looking for something else to blame it on...

My favorite lines from the article:

"''He saw the movie The Fast and the Furious, and it's movies like this that promote racing in the street,'' Michael Liberti, a family spokesman, told a WFOR-CBS 4 reporter from the front porch of the Lacasse home in Southwest Miami-Dade"

"''[The Fast and the Furious] talks about the drivers using nitrous oxide. Some of these kids have that in their cars,'' he said."

Im Speechless.... :D

Some people are absolute morons. They like to blame everyone but themselves for their mistakes. Kid choose to street race and got killed and now the parents have to live with that, it is the kids fault he made that descion. There are to many people in this country who like to force the blame for their own actions and it pisses me off. The Fast and The furious may promote street racing but the kids who choose to street race are at fault not a movie, these kids know right from wrong ( I am 16 and I know enough not to screw around with people on the road, it is just not worth the consiquences)and have a conscious and can make their own descions, this kid made the wrong one.

People do like to point their fingers don't they. :D

How about we point a finger at the parent that gave him the Vette.

No....even better....one car accident...how about "DRIVER ERROR"? Yeah. Lets blame that.

Parents fault.....What was I thinking.banghead.gif

Lets see, so if I listen to country music, I automatically will have a truck with a gun rack. own a dog, get marrried and then devorced, be an alcoholic, been in prison and got out, oh and live in a trailer??????

Give me a break!

Kids are kids and if they have the toys they will play.

Hmm, the son of a police officer...not good at all(my kids will be ruled with an iron fist). And who taught Junior how to drive, or bought the car for him, etc etc...but yes, it all comes down to free will and making your own choices, including the wrong ones.

But come on guys the movie told him to do it. :D

A few days ago we had a deadly accident that invovled a 17 year old friend of 2 of my cousins. I did not see the wreck but it was only about 1000 feet from where I was. It was obvious that the kid pulled out without looking and got broadsided. Today I heard one of my cousins say that the guy that hit the kid did not have his lights on and thus the kid could not see him coming...... But then I remembered that the wreck happened at about 1 PM on a beautiful day. :smash:

Uh oh.

If I get a gunrack and start listening to country music I'm screwed.

edit-Oh yeah,I'd have to sell the house and buy a trailer too.

Well I listen to mostly country and it looks like I have a long way to go. I gotta get a gun rack, get married, get divorced, become and alcoholic, go to jail, get out, and buy a trailer. :smash:

I'm on the lookout for several lawsuits from boneheads like this. Let's just see how many we can file...1. Chevrolet for making the Vette that can do speed well over 100mph. 2.Goodyear, for making tires designed to travel at high speeds for long times. 3. The FL DOT for making highways, streets and alleys unuable to handle idiots with more throttle then common sense. 4.The FL DMV for not showing movies like 'Red Asphalt' anymore. 5.Movie studios for releasing movies glorifying high speeds. 6.NASCAR/IRL/CART/ASA/NHRA... you get the idea for putting the thoughts of glory in winning a speed contest. 7.Assinine parents who buy an immature idiot that is unfit to drive a Yugo a 300+hp automobile... oh wait I guess we can't do that!

Sorry I'll get off of my soapbox now. :smash:

I think that just about sums it all up! :smash:

These lawsuits are just as bad as people suing fast food resturants for making them fat! :D Gimme a break! People need to quit pointing fingers and take a look at themselves instead.

AMEN to that Greyghost!

I think it all boils down to the parents not wanting to be mean to their kids by saying no.

In this day and age, if you scold your kids (spank them) you can have them taken away by the DCFS. Figure that out, don't you think that you have the right to spank your own children (within reason)??? :smash:

Oh boy this sounds like all the idiots that crash their sleds... Oh well it was speed that killed them.. We need speed limits for sleds... Well people no we don't need speed limits we need people with brains... Hell my sled can go well over 100MPH but do I do it in the dark? Um no.. Think before you put the pedel to the floor or the throttle to the bar... Learn how to ride and drive before you go that fast... And always blame someone or something else for your mistake... Dump idiot......

Nah, speed doesn't kill, neither does falling... It's the R.D.S. and S.S.S. that do you in.
