LT vs P tires

For the use you describe, I'd chose the LT. They have a tougher sidewall for offroading (better puncture resistance all around), and that same stiff sidewall also helps with hauling and trailer towing. I've had too many flats using p-series tires that I wouldn't buy them if the option was there.

IMO go LT if you tow over 2k pounds, haul max loads, drive dirt roads or off road. The side wall and tread are tougher, more plies.

If your truck is a pavement buggy, grocery geter, kid shuttle, work shuttle, light towing and an occasional haul from Home Depot P tires will work. Quieter and better ride. :happysad:

The only time I've ever had P tires on any of my trucks was when they were new & I had ordered them w/ the base tire. I knew full well that they were going to be replaced by something more suited to my usage.
