What's a good tool to remove this style center cap shown below?

I popped them off with the OEM lug wrench wrapped in a rag. Must be something better - want to be able to pop them off damage free before any tire work - so the tire monkeys don't jack up the caps or wheels.

I checked the lug nut torque - I know for aftermarket wheels they have you check them after 50 miles. And did have wheel lugs loosen up once on new wheels (2010 MINI Cooper). So figure why not check wheels on a new rig.

Crimany 140 ft lbs same as my 2500HD Duramax was........

Remembered I had 2 sets of these - bought them when I replaced speakers in the 2007.5 ..........

Ground the bottom hooked one down to .45" to fit - added a mohawk velcro hair dew for added protection. Works perfect - tucked it under the spare changing tool kit for future use.

BTW - Many of my lug nuts did cinch down a touch - so not a bad idea to check lug nut torque on your new truck's wheels........

Wheels are powder coated satin finish. By the way, my wheels are really dirty, two day constantly raining kind of days. I'll post them again once they're clean. So pry it first with the prying tool and I put a flat head in between the prying tool and the cap. I twisted the flat head and it came right off. Good luck!

I've got some gorilla tape I'll try.

It is only 1 wheel I have to deal with so not a big deal if I have to take it off. Not putting any back on until I'm happy. But I do see I need to paint the edge of the cap better than I did, so it is a good thing I slapped it on.

I'm going to paint in the GMC with colour matched touch up paint. Going to do the badges at the same time.

Suction cups work too.

So, what are you doing with your portable fish finder at the back of your truck??????

Yup. The suction cup for the fish finder sensor works like a hot damn and getting the center cap out.

Thanks for the suggestion.

BigBlue thanks for the info using the Scotch Mount tape and the 20 oz. bottle.  That worked very well removing the first cap.  I was having trouble with the tape holding well enough to pull the other 3 off so I improvised.  I grabbed a hair dryer and turned it on the hottest setting while I stuck the end of the bottle with the molding tape to heat it well enough to make it more sticky and tacky.  I rotated the hair dryer around the end of the bottle holding it in places for 1-1 1/2 minutes to get it hot enough to make the tape sticky enough to really grab the center cap.  After 30 - 40 minutes I had all 4 caps removed.  Hope this advice helps anyone else that's trying to remove the center caps.  This was much easier than removing the tires from my truck.
