Is anyone running clearance lights on a 1500?

I think they look like crap on anything under the size of oh, a dump truck. But that's just me.

And you're introducing multiple places that can leak. You're already almost guaranteed that the shark fin is going to

eventually leak, so why tempt fate for something like this, IMO.

But different strokes for different folks, I guess. There's a whole new species of mongoloid who thinks having the front end

lifted up higher than the rear end looks good, so there's no accounting for taste, lol.

Your doors windows and shark fins are "almost guaranteed" to leak if there is improper fit, faulty seal or as a result of misuse or accident. I appreciate not installing clearance lights if you don't like the looks but I wouldn't be discouraged because of the increased potential for leaks. Most emergency and larger commercial vehicles have some attachments to the roof. Or, is that why most of those people driving these vehicles wear hats?

The seals WILL eventually fail. Especially on the shark fin. That much has been proven over time.

And larger commercial vehicles have leaks quite frequently, too.

I agree. Any roof left untreated will eventually rust through and allow for water penetration. I had a '71 van where rust formed around bolt holes from a poor ladder rack installation. This was after decades of service and was easily repaired. My point was simply that the increased potential for water penetration would not be a deterrent to me for adding clearance lights.

Cab lights would finish this look for me! Any info on the lights on the running board?
