Safe idle button/switch for 2014 chevrolet silverado

Anybody know where to buy parts for "safe idle button for 2014 chevrolet silverado"? With summer here...I want to be able to keep my truck on/engine running so the AC keeps cab cool...this system is similar to what police cars and delivery vehicles use.

With engine on, your able to push a button/switch, remove vehicles ignition key, walk out vehicle to lock it, and vehicle will stay on keeping it cool...once brake pedal is hit after it's activated, the vehicle will turn off (similar to aftermarket auto start systems).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

This sounds really cool. Anxious to see the responses. The alternative is remote start it, but this would save on start cycles, even tho id probably only utilize it several times throughout an entire year

That would be great for leaving the dog in the car. Check out

also most remote start systems will allow to do this even after the vehicle is running, so you wouldn't have to turn back off just to remote start. only draw back is it will be on a selectable timer, not indefinite

Looks like that Secure Idle system is $129 on SirenWorld website. Interesting, price not toooo bad but enough to make me say mehhh at this point.

That sounds like a waste of fuel to me. I find the remote start is good enough to cool it down a good bit in just a few minutes. I am located in central Texas. Just my take. It does sound like a good idea if you had the dogs in the car though.

I'm not talking about starting it up..if I have to run to 7-11 for a quick drink, drop off mail at post office, or something along the lines of that lol just don't want to keep turning on/off if I don't have to

I agree. Most of the time I just risk it and leave it unlocked. I am very interested to hear how the install goes if you do it.

I have a quick release on my fob for that. Able to leave the key in running and lock the truck with the fob.

Done that too. However break one window get in and gone. Key fobs are cheap. This is still the most foolproof option.
