Dash noise

My Yukon Denali dash has a crack on the top left corner of where the air bag is. This causes the dash to vibrate in the middle and make noise. My husband has a Sierra truck and his has the same crack and noise. He had to stick a rolled up paper in it to stop the noise. My brother has a 2011 suburban and it has the exact same crack. This has to be a flaw in the design and surely must be recalled. It's very aggravating to pay so much for a vehicle and have it rattle and have to stick rolled up paper and whatever you have to do just to have a quiet ride. Has anyone else had this problem?
