2014 Silverado 1500 double cab - double din radio

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 Double Cab (6 cylinder).

I will be removing the existing 4" screen radio and replacing it with a double din Pioneer cd player.

 

Has anyone installed a double din radio in this similar set up? I have seen photos online that show having to cut certain parts of the dash in order to make this radio fit.

Has anyone posted a "how to, and what to" cut in order to make a radio fit? I am after specific instructions so I don;t mess anything up.

 

I am aware that the original radio will no longer be able to go back in the dash once done. Spose I need to sell it, or try to.

 

Can anyone share any advise before I do this?

Finally got the new radio installed. That was much easier than I expected it to be. It took no time at all. Here is a before and after picture.
