Silverado Audio question

Any issues with the amp "amplifying" the turn signal, door chime and other sounds that are routed to the front drivers side speaker?

If so, how did you get around that?

Oh yeah, it's definitely a lot louder but I just ignore it or put my seat belt on before turning the car on. The chime will only be amplified if you amp the dash speakers, otherwise it won't.

Thanks for the info guys

Went to a local reputable car audio shop and asked for advice. I was advised to keep my door speakers factory for now and just add an amp to the speakers and do a sub/amp setup. For that i was quoted around $1600 for a multi channel alpine amp, 8" JL sub with enclosure installed and all that. Then if i still wanted door speakers i could add some for around $5-600.

So looking at around $2500 rough after all said and done.

Lmao, holy sh*t that is expensive. It better be top of the line stuff. Single or dual subwoofers?

FYI, I have no speakers in my rear doors. Messes up the sound stage

yeah its expensive and that wasn't at the higher shops in town. Just one of the very well known shops that have been around for a while. It was for dual 8s. Yeah it was brand new line of Alpine amps, JL subs, and high grade wiring.

I might just get a kicker plug n play setup for $600 thats on eBay right now lol. But we will see i am going to another shop later today to get another quote

This is a pretty easy install in all honesty and the average joe can do it. Man, I even have an LC2i I could sell you to run the subs. The worst part is running the power wire and building an MDF wall in the rear. That's it. There is nothing else to it. Price what you want together and see what the difference is by doing it yourself. I wrote an entire DIY on the install with pictures and I can walk you through the whole thing. Only reason you will need to go to a shop will be for them to set the gains with an SMD DD-1 or similar.
