I have a 2015 Sierra z71 value package and was just wondering if it is equal to the silverado all star package? I'm not to familiar with silverado LT packages. I really like the new silverado, but not sure what trim is equal to mine.

I believe it's the same as the LT convenience package. Not 100% sure but pretty certain that's what it is.

I did notice that not alot of silverados don't have factory spray in bed liners. That was one thing with the value package i liked.

I don't know if it varies year to year but from when I purchased mine the Texas and All Star additions were the same as the value package but with a chrome badge (and maybe something on the head rests?).

Always disappointed me that they didn't do a bit more with the custom editions, if thats what they were.

My 14 Texas edition had upgrades and paint match mirrors door handles. Had the 342 gear. I notice that there were add on within theses packages.

Interesting. Wonder if they changed things for 2016. Mine had the paint matched mirrors/door handles and the 3.42 gears as well. Wonder if they consolidated for 2016.

Yeah, I have been looking at the all star edition now, and my sle value package has quite a bit more options. Yes I to have painted mirror caps and door handles.

Mine came with that stuff also. Mine also came with heated seats, spay in liner and tralier break control. That stuff must not be part of package. I guess i thought it was. Thanks.

I would check your window sticker if you still have it to find out what came with the SLE value package. I believe the trailer brake and spray in liner are separate options you can add.

I find that the option packages on vehicles is like trying to compare cellphone packages between carriers; difficult, confusing and irritating.
On the truck I now have, I let the salesman do the work figuring it out. I had started compiling a list of what I would want over the previous few months, even before I started looking. I then gave him my list of all the 'must haves', 'wants' and 'nice to haves'. The 'must have' list was by far the longest & the other two lists were pretty short.

He sorted it out for me and found one that had almost everything I was looking for, and quoted me a low total OTD price with everything, including the few outstanding items(to be added by them). I checked the build sheets on the truck against my list and it all checked out(plus the few remaining items). After I signed the deal, they then added the remaining few items in their shop. It all went pretty easy.

I've since added an aftermarket Backrack and Tonneau cover and have a couple other items I'll add later.

Lucky for me, my list of must-haves was pretty short. Nearly every truck on the lot was at least a LT All-Star with heated seats. I got quotes from 3 different dealers and found the price was just about identical. The only decisions left to make was which color and whether I wanted to pay $200 more to get the integrated trailer brake controller or not. I opted not since I didn't and still don't own any trailers with brakes. But I can always add one if needed.

I will say looking at 17 silverados for pretty much same price, my Sierra has more options.

Love the look of the Sierra's vs the Silverados. I had a 2011 Sliverado and now have the 2015 Sierra
