CV bolt size

Recommended Posts

I bought a 2000 silverado 2500 6.0 harder with 4wd, but the previous owner had removed the front cv axles because he had broken one. I have replacements, but do not have the bolts that hold the axles to the differentials. There are 6 of them on each side.

I need to know the length, size, and thread so I can buy new ones. I have tried searching but can't find the information anywhere. I also can't find anywhere that sells the specific bolts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is one of those things I would consider buying at a dealer...

With that said, I would get a handful of metric bolts from the local hardware store and figure out the thread and length, then hit up a specialty fastener shop (fasenal) and see what they recommend for hardness.
