I'm bringing my truck a 2017 Silverado CC 6.0 2500 to the dealer for an oil leak. The leak appears to be coming from the rear of the drivers side head. Oil is running down onto the exhaust manifold and onto the block, pan etc. Has anyone had a similar experience. Is there something I should look out for? I really love this truck I hope it's something minor.

I had a leaky seal on the oil pan twice. The dealer fixed it under the warranty and now it's good. Haven't had any leaks from the heads though.

I can't tell where it's coming from. I sincerely hope it's not from the actual head.

I had a hairline crack in my head at the top rear on the lip where the cover seals. It took 3 times and the dye finally showed it. It was a crazy thing. The dealer used JB Weld and so far so good.....JK, I got a new head...

Got the truck back today. The dealer said it was the valve cover gasket. Time will tell.
