2001 1500 Z71 rear suspension clunk

Question

I've started to notice a clunking noise coming from under the bed somewhere. It will only clunk once until I reverse the truck and then start driving forward again, but not as soon as I being driving forward. Usually with in the first 10 to 20 seconds after I being driving forward. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm accelerating hard or going easy on it. Its a clunk you can feel. Any ideas?

I have some additional info. I'm pretty sure its coming from the rear differential. I've been able to replicate the noise. It does it when making a left turn at slow speeds. Seems the limited slip is engaged and is sticking, disengaging with a bang. I think I'm going to try changing the diff fluid and hopefully that will remedy the problem.
