I've recently aquired a 2014 GMC Sierra SLT Z71.  Black over black leather.  Probably the nicest vehicle I've ever had.  GM sure has come along way with interiors!   I had a 1997 Ext cab Z71 until about 2015 and sold it to a buddy.   So this is a huge upgrade for me!  So let's get into it....

1-What do you guys use to clean/treat the bed rail caps?   I went over them with some instant detailer, but they really didn't come clean.

2-Bose stereo.  I know, I know.  Beat/horse.  No low end.  Would like to cutoff factory sub and add a small 10".  Point me in a direction before I visit the local boom-boom shop.

3-Nav/phone stereo hacks.....i know you guys have some...

4-OH...ya....Bilstein shocks.   I've read alot either way.  I had a shop install some 5100's all around.  HUGE difference!  But, they put the rears on with the bellows up.  I had them flip them to bellows down.  Good call?

Thanks,

Scott

I would use a general purpose automotive cleaner to clean the plastic rail caps. I would avoid any protectants on them. Once it rains, the rain will make the protectant run down the sides of the truck. Very noticeable if you own a dark colored truck.

There is a product that I think is called Back to Black, made by Turtle Wax, I believe, that I've used with good luck on other vehicles.  Haven't needed to use it on the Silvy though.
