I don't know what truck you drive but I assume you're past warranty.  The fact that you needed to "jump start" your vehicle indicates that there is an electrical issue.  The issue may be you need a new battery.  Take your truck to a reputable service center and have them check to see if you need a new battery.  I took my wife's 10 year old car with original battery to a local Canadian Tire store to get a new battery.  It appeared not to be able to hold a charge.  It would start some times and other times it needed a boost.  They found the culprit to be corrosion on the terminals and the battery has now 11 years of service.  It is wonderful to be able to do your own service work but there are times when it is more time and cost effective to take it to the professionals.

Yeah maybe, I've tested the battery with my voltage meter and it reads good both off and on. Not sure really. I do HiDs though and my high beams work fine. Just not my lows. I'm leaning towards it's the HiDs not wanting to kick on

Move the relay that powers the high beams over to the low beams. Test. Sounds like a relay went out.
