Name This Part

2000 Silverado - 5.3

Trying to identify a oil leak, think it's the pan gasket.  Anyway,  can someone tell me what this part is right above the oil filter?  Looks like a vent of some sort?  is there supposed to be a rubber hose or something hooked to the end of it ?

sounds good.  Should there be something like a hose or cap at the top of that?

If this is the part you're talking about it is called an oil cooler block.

AHHHH I thought he said he had oil cooler lines. I misread. Sorry.
