14 Silverado Bluetooth mic issues

I have a 14 Silverado owned since new and nothing but issues with what I believe to be the microphone.  When using my phone through Bluetooth no one can hear me. When using voice commands it never understands me yet on star seems to work ok.  I had taken it in under warranty and was told it’s fine they were able to test it by calling on star.   I thought it may be my phone but have had 3 separate phones since owning the truck.  Recently rented a 2016 Silverado and people could hear me fine in that truck. Thought it was maybe tire noise as I had after market rims and tires but recently went back to stock for the winter. I’m out of ideas.  It must be the microphone... is there aftermarket mic’s  available? Is so best ones?  My warranty is up and would prefer to avoid the dealer every time I go on their I feel like their trying to scam me or taking way longer to diagnose than is necessary. They billed me 4 hours  (“to diagnose and test)”to tell me my USB port needed replacing when it stopped working. Unbelievable
