HID for highs, lows, fogs 2015 Silverado Z71 Midnight Edition

The next item on the to-do list is HIDs for the front lights. I've poured through a lot of the HID thread, but with 900+ pages, I'm hoping someone can just chime in and give me the best option from their experience.

I'm torn between 6000K and 8000K. I like the bluish tint but don't want them to be BLUE.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the truck has halogen projectors for the lows (H11) and halogen reflectors for the highs (9005) and 5202 for the fogs.

So, I would need the H11 (or H11B?) HID kit for the lows and the 9005 HID kit for the highs and the 5202 HID kit for the fogs. So far so good?

So, without trying to turn this into a long, drawn-out back and forth thread over who likes what, can someone with a matching truck (2015 LTZ Z71) tell me what HID kit they used, love and share any install insights that might help?

thanks all!

on my 2014 sierra SLT i just put in Morimoto setup with 50w ballasts and 5500k bulbs and i love them. So much light, the output is blueish when they fire up but turns into bright white when warmed up.

I think 5500k is the best color. The kit itself is very quality made vs cheaper kits i tried.

As far as high beams... how often do you use them, do you really NEED HIDs in there?

Thanks and great point in the high beams. maybe the more expensive kit like the morimoto ($170) and the less expensive for the highs.

Any gotchas, watchouts, our tips for install?

Def go with this kit. It took me about 4.5hr to complete, most of that was laying the whole thing out and trying to make it all fit and hide wires.

The wire between the passenger side bulb and relays is kind of short so the relay has to go somewhere closer to the passenger side. You will figure it out.

Just dont try to do it outside in the cold since it takes hours to do a good job. It comes with specific instructions.

LOL South Florida here. It's "COLD" outside this week. Dipped all the way into the 50's. It'll be 80 by the weekend. I have air conditioning in my garage.

thanks!
