07-10 2500hd rear bumper on 2011+

What is the difference between a 07-10 rear bumper and a 2011 plus rear bumper? I just purchased a 2007-10 ironcross rear bumper, brand new for $400. My truck is a 2011. Is there going to be fitment issues? Or will it bolt up?

I purchased the bumper. The factory bumper bolts to the hitch. The new bumper does not bolt to the hitch. Will this effect the integrity of the hitch? The heaviest load I will carry is a 22x8.5 car trailer with a car or truck on it. Or trailer with side by sides on it.

Your receiver hitch will be fine. Practically all the load of it is supported by where it bolts to the frame. I think the bumper bolting is just for the bumpers sake.
