Can you elaborate on how the tuner ruined your truck? I've never had one and was contemplating getting one, but that is my hold-up and worst fear.

It was their InTune product and in short I backed up the PCM before applying a canned tune. The tuner locked up during application. Some emails back and forth via their forum determined that the memory in the tuner became corrupt. Had to tow the truck to Chevy and give them 100.00 to reflash. I bought the tuner through my cousin which at the time was a an authorized reseller. After much fighting we ended up getting full credit for it but only to be used for the more expensive tuner. Now that one worked fine, but I ended up selling it because I decided that it wasn't worth the risk and then poor customer service I received.

Yikes. Yeah, that's not cool. Maybe I'll see if I can live with the M5 fix for now... and if not, maybe try the Range disabler out. At least until the truck is a couple years old and out of warranty.
