Hello from SE NC

Just joined up from SE NC. I recently purchased an 03 Silverado 1500 that needs some TLC. I'm pretty good with my hands but my knowledge of truck repairs is limited so I'll be looking for lots of help diagnosing different things. I like a challenge and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from fixing something myself. That being said I also know my limitations.

 

I also enjoy Hunting, shooting (target and self defense), camping and other outdoor activities. I look forward to participating in those sub forums as well.

Welcome to this forum.  You will find lots of good reading and helpful information.  Tell us a little about your truck.  Many members have or once owned your generation of truck. I had a '00 Silverado 1500 for 9 years which was by far the longest I'd ever owned a vehicle in 45+ years of driving.  Fantastic truck!

It is an 03 Silverado 4.8L 4x4 regular cab. I have had it for about 5 months now and it runs pretty good buts it got some things here and there that need some attention. I started a thread in the 1999-2006 silverado sub forum about a noise coming from the dash. Pretty sure its AC related but I don't know where to start.
