I’m having an issue now with my 2015 Sierra. Code reads cylinder 5 misfire. I’m at 118,000 km. It’s not considered power train so no warranty. The quoted me 1890.00 plus taxes for all 8 injectors. I service my truck more than gm recommendations , shouldn’t have this issue.
I was thinking just to replace the one that’s bad but only $500 more to do them all and be done with them.
could I save money by going elsewhere to an independent garage?

Servicing your truck has nothing to do with the fuel injection system. With fuel as terrible as it is right now, If you don't put a injector cleaner in your vehicle every so often, You will have bad injectors. Just the way it is.

Check out this vidoe on how to replace them and just do them yourself. I am guessing you're in Canada or something like that with km. So goto your local auto parts store, Pick up all the injectors and then goto a dealership and get the 2 fuel pipes and do it. It's an easy job.

here is the problem with changing just one. You have to remove the fuel feed pipes. When you do that, They have to be replaced. If you change just 1 and then another goes out, You are just throwing money away. Those pipes can not be reused and if you try, they will leak. Trust me.. I have tried multiple times to try to save them for people.

I can't find OEM injectors anywhere. Do you have any experience with Echlin Injectors from Napa? I want to replace all 8 myself but they say I need a special sizing tool for the seals....is this true?

I had the same problem but would not give up as there is no way you should have to change injectors. It took 6 months but finally remedied. I switched to Chevron fuel and used numerous fuel injector cleaners and finally "Gum Out" worked. I don't get anymore codes and everything works fine now. I also had transmission problems as with the engine running rough the transmission kept trying to relearn itself and that has gone away now too. Hopefully this helps someone as GM wanted $2700 to just replace injectors and they couldn't figure out the transmission problem. GM was figuring I needed a new transmission.
