Looks like a well made product, but they either need to work on the advertisement text to give a clearer story, or they need to get their story straight on the expected gains.  I see 40 rwhp, 20 rwhp and 16 rwhp.  I figured out that the 40 rwhp is for the stage 2 with the 103 mm throttle body, but I can't corrolate the other 2 numbers.

Just assume that unless you have major modifications you will see none of the aforementioned gains.  Its just not realistic for stock manifolds/cam/heads etc.

I guess I’ll be the first to say it.....This thing is stupidly over priced, even at the group discount. I still wouldnt buy one if it was $349. Looks like I can go make this exact same intake with Spectre parts from autozone. Doesn’t impress me at all. How is it cold air if it’s not sealed and drawing air from the wheel well. It’s open to the heat under the hood.....wtf?

If 16+ hp can be so easily be achieved with no compromise (as advertised) why isn't this done at the factory?  Although I don't believe this modification will make any noticeable difference,  increasing cool air intake is a good thing.  I know cool days on my Harley are a bonus!  I won't argue with the price but my personal value on this "upgrade" is closer to the $100 range.

It’s not for everyone, for sure. Its carbon fiber which is where the $ comes from. I’m whippled and could use the 5in to help overall HP, with additional tuning.

 

I can’t speak to the advertised HP as I’m not affiliated with them however coming from a previous life a larger Intake always yields high gains when tuned correctly.

To me it looks like a carbon fiber print, not real carbon fiber.  Could just be the picture though.

 

So to get this, would we be charged the $549 and then refunded when they get 10 orders?

It’s real carbon fiber. You’ll be charged the group buy price, and then for whatever reason we don’t have 10, you’ll be refunded.
