Recovery hooks

My 2014 Silverado didn’t come with any recovery hooks is there a way to install any ? Anybody have a solution for this my truck is a LT Texas edition

Yep buy a set either from your dealer or some take offs/used/powder coated off EBay just make sure you get the bolts all kinds of options black/chrome/white/red.

 

If your air damn don’t have the cut outs you’ll either have to cut them out or buy a air dam/valance with them and replace. This thread has the part number. Just dbl check it.

On the 14-15s the install instructions say you have to remove the bumper if you watch the video in this thread if you loosen the bracket on the bumper you can get the forward bolt in on the drivers side without removing the bumper. The other side goes right in. I forget but might be able to put the bolt in from the other way on the driverside where it hits the bracket?  Or use a shorter bolt?

 

On the factory 4x4s with the hooks there is a “gasket”/foam insert thing a ma bob that goes around the hook and behind the air dam/valance to “fill/cover” the hole. Not sure what the part number is for that. IMO you really don’t need it, it’s just cosmetic.
