Radio Screen randomly shuts off

Hi everyone,

 

First off I've got a 2017 GMC Sierra SLE. Recently I've noticed that every once in a while my screen will randomly shut off, and turn back on. Anyone else have this problem?

It has happened to me on occasion maybe 3 times over 25k miles. turned back on after one second so I didn't care

It typically doesn't exactly bother me, I'm more or less curious if this is a common thing or whatnot. However it's been roughly 5 times and I'm at 8k miles.

Just started happening to me on my drive home from work. Happened six times in ten minutes already

Any word on the issue? This recently started happening to me on my 2014 Silverado....

I have a 2017 Silverado that does the same stuff. the radio will be fine for a while then it will turn on and I can see everything but I have no sound. It will work for 15 mins then stop, then it randomly starts again. I have had it at the dealership a few times and they can't figure it out. the harness has been replaced, the radio has been replaced and I am still having trouble. The big issue is that now I can not use my hands free phone while I drive and the state if IN has made it illegal to be on the phone unless it is handsfree.

Had to have the whole display on my 2015 Silverado replaced. I was out of warranty and complained to GM (lots of work). But they eventually covered the cost of the unit (over $1000).
