2014 6.2L Dealer Replacing Lifters, Oil Pump, & Overhauling Rear Differential

My 2014 GMC Sierra Denali has 6.2L and 55K miles. Started hearing ticking noise inside the cab. The ticking becomes very noticeable at 1800 RPM - 2500 RPM. I also had developed a really bad clunk when transmission downshifted and at times upshifting. When you would mash it from a stop the 1st to 2nd gear shift felt like the rear Differential was falling out of the truck. Took in initially to Dealer and "They could not duplicate". I called GM and started a case and rescheduled another Dealer visit. This time they put me in a brand new 2018 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with 5.3L on Tuesday this past week and they kept my truck to do a thorough diagnosis. Was told that it had at least one collapsed lifter and they were replacing all of them. They were going to inspect oil pump and replace if necessary. They also were ordering new rear axles and overhauling the rear differential as it has a major backlash problem.

I had just changed with Amsoil front and rear differentials, transfercase, flushed transmission and did thermostat bypass to ensure all fluid was flushed.

Not real happy with all of this right now. Love this truck but it does not have the quality that our 2007 Suburban LTZ had. I am glad that Dealer came around and is willing to correct issues with a little push from GM.

Truck going back in. Sounds like one of the new lifters has collapsed.

What a POS.

3 times I went in for lifter/pushrod issues....

At least they could fix it for a while...I gave up on highway vibes and tranny
