Heated Mirror P/N

I've got 12477845 & 12477846 for the replacement mirrors, but they dont list as valid p/n's with www.gmpartsdirect.com ... does anyone have an updated P/N? Also if anyone has the P/N for the relay for the heated mirrors (PT219 doesnt work), I would appreciate that one too.

The new part #'s are 88986362 and 88986363.

I think the difference is the new ones no longer have the defroster icon on them.

is it hard to add heated mirrors to a 99 GMC?

If you start with the heated mirror assemblies, it's super easy. Just swap the mirrors, plug in the relay, and swap out the AC control for one with the DEFROST button.

To put heated glass into a non-heated mirror housing will be a little trickier because you'll have to do a little wiring, but it's only 2 wires, positive and negative. The cleanest way would be to get the proper connectors, but if those are hard to find, cutting & splicing always works too.

Thanks for the P/N's! That's a big help. I've got the HVAC controls on the way and just need to order the mirrors and relay. Now it'll be fitted for winter weather driving.

cool, What heater control will work, tahoe or yukon, or do some sierra or silverado have it to? thanks gnat

You'll need a manual heater control with the REAR DEFROST button.

Out of an 00-02 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, etc. will be fine. Yeah, some 99-02 Silverado and Sierra got them too.

Some of them got an Automatic Climate Control that looks the same, but instead has numbers (temps in degrees) on the middle dial. You can't use that one unless you want to do some rewiring.

I got mine on Ebay, they're much cheaper that way!
