TRS HID Kit Issue - Flickering in DRL

Up until the last couple of weeks the TRS HID kit performed flawlessly in my Sierra SLE. 

 

The other day I noticed a lamp was out so I bought a new set from TRS.  I was looking for an excuse to bump up to 5,500K.  Installed the lamps and still had issues with the drivers side lamp powering up.  It would flicker.  Passenger side was fine.

 

TRS sent out a replacement ballast for the drivers side, installed it and everything worked fine...I thought.  Next day while driving I noticed my passenger light started flickering.  If I force the lights on manually with the dial (instead of leaving in AUTO) the lights operate normally.  Only when my SLE headlights are in DRL model, do I have issues with flickering in a lamp and the ultimately the lamp shutting off.  

 

I've been working with Jimmy at TRS but was curious if anyone else has experienced a similar issue?

You need the anti flicker module had same problem on my silvy.

I have the capacitor already. Been installed since day 1. I’m wondering if it’s failed and that’s why I’m having this issue now.

I would say that's the problem imo.

I had a similar problem where the driver side kept turning off.
I ended up getting different headlights so I no longer use these bulbs.
I put them in my wife's Acadia and have not had one issue with them. I also had an SLE.

They are sending me a new capacitor so we’ll see.

If they continue to cause issues maybe it’s time to go LED...
