rervf23 Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 I took my new 2003 GMC Sierra EC SB to the local GMC dealer for 3000 mile L.O.F. and to fix a squeaky front seat - driver's side. Oil change OK so far, seat does not squeak anymore, but the uphostery is now hanging down in front of the manual seat adjustment bar. I went right back into the dealer service area and had the tech fix the problem he created. It looked OK, so I left. By the time I got home (about 9 miles away) the upholstery was hanging down in front of the manual seat adjustment bar again. Does anyone know how this upholstery is supposed to be connected under the front of the seat. I will try to do it myself, if I can get the info needed to do it. Sorry for being so lengthly about the problem.
jhm Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Brand new truck? Take it back and make them fix it right. If they can't, complain to GM. My 01 also squeaks on the drivers seat and has some intermittent rattle on the passenger side. I gotta bring it in b4 the warranty runs out. Good luck!
cyclejerk Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Check here, http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...topic=18058&hl= And I have pics I can e-mail.
rervf23 Posted August 8, 2003 Author Posted August 8, 2003 Thanks for the info Cyclejerk. I was at the firehouse were I am a member and was telling one of the firefighters about my seat. He is a jack-of-all trades type person and very strong. He took a look at the seat, and in about 10 minutes had the whole seat problem fixed. Glad I don't have to go back to the dealer again.
cyclejerk Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 No problem, this site is great. I'm glad you got your seat fixed.
