Test drive a 2014 silvy

Truck is in excellent shape and drives great. Has a 4-5” lift with 295 trail grapplers...looks really nice.  Felt kind kind of gutless with the 5.3 and the lift and tires.  Is this normal? I’d love a 6.2 but not in my budget.

Thoughts?

Also I came from an 08LMM duramax with 35s. Was hoping to make the transition to a smoother riding and more everyday gasser

295 is just the width. Guess I’d need to know the aspect ratio and rim size because if you’re going from 32 inch diameter tire to something like a 35 inch diameter tire, it’s bound to feel more sluggish. May also have the 3.08 rear in the truck to begin with.

Yup.  They are fairly gutless feeling with the stock rims and tires... add more rolling resistance and it's even worse. A set of 4.56s and a tune would make it a whole new truck

It must have 308s. I understand tires drag them down. I lifted my duramax 6” with 35s and it affected it. My 07 tundra really felt the 295s I out in it.

I was jyst taken taken back by this one. I mean it’s still a v8.

Not or trying to dog the Silverado. I’m still probably my going to buy it....just wish it had more power
