Front End CLICK at Low Speed Turning

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I recently noticed a CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK while reversing and turning the wheel hard right or hard left.  I even occasionally noticed it while going forward and turning hard left or hard right.  Only can hear it/replicate it in a parking lot while just essentially letting the truck idle forward or reverse with wheel turned. Wheel needs to be turned at a minimum about 1 revolution and it'll start doing the clicking. I don't believe it matters whether it's cold or warm. My truck is stock in the aspect that I have no level / lift - still rollin around on the original GoodYear LSlippery2s LOL.

I read a few topics on this but people seemed to be talking more about a POP or THUD.  I don't have either of those symptoms, just the CLICKING.  That's why I keep capitalizing it everywhere :D

So... any thoughts? I'm due for an oil change in probably another month and will probably ask the dealer then.  Too bad I'm out of bumper to bumper.

Clicking....popping....I think people are just coming up with different ways to describe the same problem.  I'll continue to post in the other thread to keep information together but I have an update.

I had a front end “click” as well. See a video here

It was first diagnosed as a faulty rim. Clicking came back after less than 1000 miles. Next time I took it in, it was diagnosed as needing cleaning between the hub and wheel/rotor.

Been more than 3000 miles now and still no more clicking.

I'll pull the rim off and check it out. Give it a good cleaning and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.
