RC 3.5 Knuckle Lift Kit with front shocks

Hello everyone, im creating this post because there was little information about this lift kit when i was looking around. I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 and i wanted to lift it , but i didnt want to go that high. I eneded up deciding to go with the Rough Country 3.5 in Knuckle Lift kit with the N2.0 Front Shocks SKU :12132. The kit is around 600$ and its a 5-6 hour installation time. I know some guys dont like RC , and the other chevy kits didnt have many happy customers. This kit was relatively new and it came with knuckles which is suppose to fix the suspension angles that a level kit would ruin , and it did. I had a 2.5 Moto Fab level kit and the truck ran really hard and i didnt like the ball joint angles. Well I can say that im happy i went with this kit . The truck rides really good and looks great. I was able to fit Nitto RidgeGrapples 33x12.50 and XD series Buck 25 20x10 wheels. It rubs a little at full crank at the lower rear plastic trim. I’ll post pictures so you guys can see. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask i’ll answer them as soon as i can , i hope this post helps anyone decide what route to go with when deciding a lift kit.

Angles still aren't right, I just had this kit ripped out of my truck and swapped out for a 5", lift is trash and will cause you nothing but issues. All good if you plan on keeping the truck 2 years or less.

angles are too high, rough country is notorious for bad angles on their lifts that knuckle doesnt look taller either its just modified to save balljoints from the terrible angles... good lord RC what next..

Ball joints, steering issues, ****ed cv boots, ****ed with stabilitrac and steering assist. all before 40000 kms... Truck rode like a ****ing tank, rubbed everywhere. Zi much better now, ride a like factory and angles are corrected

Your also running offset wheels so that eont help either lol Top is before, bottom is after

So you went with a RC 5 inch lift after you were running into problems with the 3.5? The truck looks sexy as F**K by the way

the CVs will have premature wear, your balljoints upper lower and outer tie rod ends look to be in better placement so you might be ok there, just depends on your driving style.

 

I cant tell you how many ball joints and CV shafts ive destroyed and I have good angles on my  7" haha

Damn haha , well i already bit the bullet. I’ll see how long it holds. If its too much then im going to have to upgrade to a better kit like BDS or something that can correct cv angles as well as the ball joints. Thank you for your time I appreciate it
