Cruise control controls

Were there different types of cruise control options on the 2014-2018 Silverado's? I have a 2014 LT with the standard set/res/cancel controls. My wife has a 2016 Cadillac CTS with a cruise that has a 2 'stage' toggle. First click bumps the speed + or - 1mph, push further to the 2nd stage and it will increase or decrease to the next 5mph (if you're running 61 and bump to the 2nd stage it will set the cruise to 65). Was there anything like this on any of the 2014-2018 Silverado trucks at any trim level. I'd kill to have it.

i dont think so, funny that you say that, my mercedes glk250 has a stalk for the cruise control directly below the signal stalk, its +5 if you click it +1 if you only nudge it. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. i am constantly hitting the signal stalk unintentionally when im going for the cruise control stalk. i have reconstructed hips, and i use cruise control everywhere i go, highway/backroads/everywhere!!!

The gas pedal gets me above 30, after that I pretty much drive with the cruise, too.

same here, the constant modulation of the gas pedal, and switching from the brake to the gas destroys my hip. out of all the vehicles ive driven my 2014 sierra had the best most responsive cruise control. im pretty sure the 16+ trucks have a +5 feature.

I drove over the road for nearly 13 years. Doing that you get used to just setting the cruise and rolling. Old habits die hard, I guess.

Just Ctrl-F'ed my way through the 2016-2018 user manuals and they all showed the same boring cruise controls mine has.

If you press and hold it will continue to increase set speed until released -- you don't have to click it once for each mph.

From manual:

If the cruise control system is already activated:
. Press and hold +RES until the desired speed is reached, then release it.
. To increase vehicle speed in small increments, briefly press +RES. For each press, the vehicle goes about 1.6 km/h (1 mph) faster.

Yes, excruciatingly slowly. I just thought it was acool option on my wife's car and figured I'd see if there was something similar in any of the Silverado's.
