2019 5.3 Engine Oil capacity

After reading the 2019 Silverado owners manual, I see that the oil capacity has been reduced from 8 quarts in m 2016, to 6 quarts in the 2019.

For the 5.3 and 6.2 it is 8qts.  The 4.3 and the new 4 cylinder it is 6qts.

You are correct. I got some bad info. Oh well it was wishful thinking.

What does it say about recommended weight/viscosity?

Still 0w20 ?

I Have a 2019 GMC AT4 With a 5.3 L engine. I just had the oil changed and inquired about the Oil Capacity. I was told it definitely is 8 Quarts as stated on my invoice from my Dealer.
